NOSCO operates the Navy Fleet Gift Shop (NFGS). The purpose of NFGS is to raise funds for NOSCO and to provide quality of life shopping for military families. Of the profits given to NOSCO, a portion is given to educational scholarships. The remainder is submitted to the American Women's Welfare Association (AWWA), which in turn gives contributions to both American and Japanese charities.

Looking for an original place to host your social gathering?

Volunteer Information
We invite you to become a volunteer at our stores. Not only will your time benefit charitable organizations, it's a great opportunity to meet people, make funny money to spend in the stores, have a first look at new merchandise and participate in early buying when unpacking, qualify for buy trips, and most importantly…have fun! Volunteers will be reimbursed for child care/day care expenses for hours worked at the NFGS.

Click here for a Navy Fleet Gift Shop Volunteer Application. Please drop off the form at the Home Store to the operations manager during store hours. You can also mail the form to the Kid's Cottage. The address follows:
Camp Lester-Building 6064
PSC 482 Box 2862
FPO AP 96362

Once the application has been received, the operations manager will contact you to set up a volunteer schedule.

Please contact navynfgs@oasis.mediatti.net or 645-8812 for more information.

Shop Policies
NFGS accepts cash, checks, Visa, and MasterCard with a valid ID. There are no holds, no layaways, no exchanges, and no refunds.

Here's What Our Volunteers Have to Say…
One of the aspects of NFGS work I value most is that it gives spouses a chance for meaningful community involvement. For those with a business background, there are opportunities to maintain skills in management, merchandising, marketing, etc. More amazing still, it gives people (like me) with no previous retail experience a chance to step outside our previous career path and, in a supportive environment, try something new.

For me, the Gift Shop and its world of import buying...and of course the phenomenal sums of money we channel toward helping people has in its own way been as much a cultural experience...as has living in a foreign country.
